TWINKLET

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

In short: Twinklet does not collect, store or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Your game progress stays on your device.

This policy explains how the Twinklet app for iPhone and for Android ("the app") handles information. Both versions work the same way. The app is made by Balaji Rajendran ("we", "us").

Information we collect

None. The app does not ask for your name, email address, location, contacts, photos or any other personal information, and it does not create an account for you.

The app contains no advertising, no analytics or measurement tools, and no third party software that collects data. It does not track you across other apps or websites.

Information stored on your device

To remember your game, the app saves a small file on your phone containing:

This file never leaves your device through the app and is never sent to us. It may be included in your own backups of your phone: iCloud or computer backups of an iPhone, under Apple's terms, or the Google backup of an Android phone, under Google's terms. You can erase it at any time with Settings, Reset progress or New Game in the app, or by deleting the app.

Information Apple and Google may share with us

If you have chosen in your iPhone's settings to share analytics or crash reports with app developers, Apple may give us anonymous, aggregated information such as crash reports and download counts. This does not identify you and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can turn this off in iPhone Settings, Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements.

On Android, Google Play gives app developers anonymous, aggregated statistics such as install counts and crash and performance reports, depending on your phone's settings. This does not identify you and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Permissions

The app does not request access to your location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or any other personal information.

Notifications: only if you turn on the optional nightly reminder, the app asks your phone for permission to show a notification when tonight's puzzle is ready. The reminders are scheduled on your phone itself; nothing is sent to us or to anyone else. On Android the app may also set the reminder again after your phone restarts, which is why it lists that permission. You can turn reminders off at any time in the app's Settings or in your phone's notification settings.

Sharing: if you tap Share my result, your phone's share sheet opens with a short text such as your rating and time. Nothing is shared unless you choose where to send it.

Ratings: now and then, after a happy win, the app may let your phone show Apple's or Google Play's own rating card. Any rating or review you choose to leave goes to Apple or Google under their terms; the app itself sees nothing.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children.

If you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write, and use it only to reply to you. We do not add it to any mailing list or share it. You can ask us to delete your emails at any time.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of the app adds features that involve data, such as Game Center, cloud sync or in-app purchases, we will update this policy before that version is released and change the date at the top of this page.
